Rosalie “Sammie” Riddle

Rosalie “Sammie” Riddle went to be with the Lord on August 15th, 2013 at the age of 88.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Sammie had a great love for life and enjoyed traveling the world and trips in the trailer. But the greatest loves she had, were for her family and her church.

Sammie was involved in many church ministries. Her favorites include; Intercessor, Prayer Partners, LEM, Alter Guild, and her Love Ladies Bible Study. Sammie wrote that she “loved all her St. Luke’s family and prayed for them.”

Sammie is survived by Fred, her beloved husband of 43 years, as well as her children; Kathy and John, Trisha, Michael and Lisa, James and Diane, Paul and Jan, Nancy and Jeff, - her grandchildren; Phillip, Matthew and Amber, Jimmy and Carrie, Justin and Erin, Ashley, John, Christine, Ted, Mary Rose, and Sienna, - great-grandchildren; Christopher, Josh, and Andrew, and her sister, Virginia. Sammie’s last note to her family is “Love you all so much, be good to each other.”

She will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on August 21st, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of the Foothills, 1700 Foothill Blvd, La Canada, CA 91011.
