SFC Frank H. Johnson, Ret’d January 31, 1935 - July 24, 2013

Was born January 31, 1935 in Michigan City, IN and passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in Glendale, CA. He was 78 years old. At age 17, Frank joined the Army. During his 21 years, including a tour in Vietnam in ‘68, he was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife, Lisa. After Frank retired from the Army the family settled in Burbank, CA. He became a dietary supervisor and worked at different nursing homes. In the last two years he lived in a retirement home in Glendale. He made friends and became the most valuable beanbag baseball player for his team. Sundays were spent with his daughter’s family. Frank was predeceased by his wife of almost 50 years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Brian Stoner and his granddaughter, Kirsten, of Burbank. The rest of his family lives in Germany, including brother-in-law, Hubert Kruhn and niece, Petra, and nephew, Heinz.

Funeral services were held at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:30 PM.
