Gladys Bellettini Petersen June 3, 1935 - November 14, 2012

Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, the beloved daughter of Maria Rebecca and Ezio Bellettini, we honor the memory of Gladys Maria, our beloved sister, aunt (great) and Godmother. She was a friend to all and her zest for life characterized everything she did.

She married Ronald Petersen in 1965 in Los Angeles at St Brendan’s Catholic Church. Her early career included years of loyal service to Prudential Insurance Company and later she had a brief acting stint with the Hispanic actors association, “Nosotros” culminating in service to the sick and elderly as a Nurses aid. Gladys’ smile lit up a room and never was she smiling more than in the company of her nieces and nephews. She loved to travel and visited the Holy Land with her beloved mother, one of her treasured memories. She was a generous, kind soul who enjoyed writing poetry, learning to play the piano and attending classical music concerts at LA City College. We miss her smile, her laughter and her warmth.

In honor of the year anniversary of her death, we will gather at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel, where she is interred, for a memorial mass on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 8:30am. Donations in honor of her memory may be made to the LA City College Foundation music department. We miss you and love you, our dear Gladys.
