Cathy A. Sellitto August 15, 1951 - November 20, 2013

Cathy A. Sellitto, 62, of Glendale, CA, passed away November 20, 2013, at home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was a kind, gentle person who appreciated the simple things in life; loved by all who knew her. She had a great sense of humor even in her illness; loved nature, animals, hiking, reading & spending time with her nieces, their families & many wonderful friends. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was a daughter of the late Alfonso & Catherine Sellitto. She was a graduate of GAR High School & Wilkes University. She worked for the California State Compensation Insurance Fund for over 20 years until her retirement in 2012. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Sellitto & his wife Deborah, Laflin, PA; niece Gina Russo & her husband, Joseph, Ridgewood, NJ; niece Kristine Desciak & her husband, Edward & their children, Edward, Joseph & Catherine, Ridgewood, NJ; aunt, Julie Banas, Pittsburgh, PA; several cousins & many wonderful friends. A private service will be held by her family in PA on December 1, 2013 & a memorial service will be held by her friends at Calvary Bible Church in Burbank, CA on December 4, 2013. Memorial donations in her honor can be made to Tree People, The Nature Conservancy, The Humane Society or Calvary Bible Church, Burbank, CA.
