Jenny Porco Saraceno passed away in Burbank on December 26, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in Detroit, MI. in 1931 to Jack and Filomena Porco.

After moving to Los Angeles at an early age Jenny attended Saint Monica’s High School in Santa Monica, graduating in 1945. She went on to study at UCLA earning a degree in
Music in 1950.

After marrying her husband, Domenic Saraceno, in 1955 she settled in Burbank Calif.

Jenny was the mother of five children, a talented pianist and taught in the LAUSD for over 33 years spending most of her career at Arminta Street School in North Hollywood. She taught various grades and directed choral programs while inspiring young minds with her love of music. It would be this passion for music that ultimately defined her life.

Jenny was very generous and thoughtful, spoiling family and friends alike. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, family dinner, grandkids school trip, or just ‘someone in time of need’, Jenny was always there to help. She was a voracious reader and had a great sense of humor. Jenny’s life reflected a spirit of generosity, love of music, laughter, compassion, Italian culinary secrets, and faith in God.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Domenic, of 58 years; her five children, Rosemarie and her husband, Danny; Domenic, Jr. and girlfriend, Kim; Jack and his wife, Pam; Joann; Frank and his wife Patricia; and “adopted” daughter, Theresa. Her cherished grandchildren are: Diana, Wendy, Danny, Jr., Nick, Frank, Jr., Joseph, Natalie, Paul, and stepgrandchildren Anne, Stephanie, Gil and Amanda along with nieces and nephews.

Funeral services under the direction of Forest Lawn/Hollywood. See web for more info.
