Sheridan Coghlan Lannen passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on October 28, 2013 in Burbank, California at her home in the company of her children.

Born on June 13, 1918 in Long Beach, California to parents Margaret Alma and Stephen Lloyd, Sheridan (“Sharon”) graduated from Hollywood High in 1937 and married Francis Bernard Lannen of South Dakota in 1940. They had five children; Stephen, Timothy, Thomas, Marianne and Michael, and lived first in Hollywood, and then for 40 years in Burbank, California, where Sharon engaged in her life’s favorite passion; raising and spending time with her children (and later her grandchildren). Sharon worked for the Smoke House restaurant in Toluca Lake for 30 years and was a vegan who meditated, walked five miles a day, and remained active into her later years.

Loved by all who knew her, Sharon was known to take in stray kids who needed shelter, and her door was always open to those needing a loving ear. She is blessed with 10 grandchildren; Shawn and wife Gina, Maurya and husband Paul Datka, Juliea, Danae, Molly, Rachel, Samantha, Myles, Meghan and Tomoko, and by seven great –grandchildren; Creanna, Connor, Caden, Noah, Zoe, Jax and Hadassah. She also leaves Stephen’s wife Pam O’Neill, Marianne’s husband John Kelly, Thomas’s widow Chikako Yanagida, and Michael’s wife Judy Hager.

Sharon reflected the warmth of the sun and was the manifestation of unconditional love. She will remain forever in our hearts.
