Rainer Hans Labus Sr. May 21, 1940 - February 11, 2014

Rainer Hans Labus Sr., 73, of Burbank, CA, passed away on February 11th, 2014 after a long fight with cancer. He is
survived by his loving wife Mary Elizabeth, and four sons, Rainer Hans Junior, Curtis, Douglas and Joseph. He is also
survived by nine grandchildren.
Rainer came to the United States from Germany in 1958 and enlisted in the US Army. After basic training, he was
stationed in his hometown in Wurzburg, Germany, where he was a translator. His career was in manufacturing and he
owned his own business as well as worked for several large manufacturing companies. Rainer was seen as a kind and
generous man to all who knew him. He was also an extremely creative thinker who had several patents on inventions. He
loved to spend time with his friends of many years, and his extended family. His grandchildren brought him a special joy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 1:00pm at Crossroads Church in Santa Clarita.
