Jerry Lusby

Gerald Raymond Lusby, 86, of Camarillo, died February 6, 2014. “Jerry” Lusby passed away in the company of his wife and family of natural causes.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorriane Hamilton Lusby; daughter Cheryl Lusby Gallagher & husband Bill Gallagher of Burbank; son Jim Lusby & wife Jean Lusby of Burbank; and son Ken Lusby of Simi Valley. He is also survived by grandchildren Michael Gallagher, Robert Gallagher & fiance Caitlyn Dreyfuss, Matthew & wife Michele Lusby, Tom Lusby, Jeff Lusby and Kristen Lusby and three great grandchildren.

Jerry was born on April 17, 1927 in Glendale, California to parents Dr. C. R. Lusby and Gertrude Lusby. He had two brothers, Dr. Donald Lusby and Dr. Robert Lusby who preceded him in death. Jerry graduated from Herbert Hoover High School and served in the Navy during WWII. He married Lorraine in 1950 and lived in Glendale where he worked as a Dental Technician until his retirement in 1991. He loved fishing, old cars, airplanes and time with his family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th at the First United Methodist Church, 134 N. Kenwood St. in Glendale at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to NAMI Glendale, 1540 S. Colorado Blvd., Glendale, CA 91205.
