Edison Elementary School in Burbank is having its seventh annual Variety Show at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 and noon and 5 p.m. Feb. 26, in the auditorium, 2110 Chestnut St., Burbank.

There are more than 90 students participating, and they have been rehearsing since the beginning of January.

The show is all-volunteer produced, sponsored by the PTA, and directed by Laura Patterson, a parent of a fifth-grader and eighth-grade twins who are participating the vocal music program at Jordan Middle School.

This year the show is titled “Edison Place Live!” and has pre-selected songs, choreographed dances, skits and costumes.

Tickets are $5.

Burroughs produces Pop Show 32

The John Burroughs Vocal Music Assn. is rehearsing for its Pop Show 32 “I Want it All” scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 24 to 26 and 2 p.m. Feb. 27 in the auditorium, 1920 W. Clark Ave., Burbank.

The show will feature all of the school’s five Show Choirs, a cappella groups, the show-stopping Dance Ensemble, a variety of small groups, duos and soloists performing music and choreography they have chosen themselves. The association has more than 200 students involved in the performances.

The event raises funds to help ensure the performing arts program continues.
