Engaged: Suzanne Fontenot Clark and Stephen Charles Welker

Jerry Ernest and Judith Anne Clark of Clifton Forge, Va., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Suzanne Fontenot Clark, to Stephen Charles Welker, son of William S. and Frances Howe Welker of Glendale.

The wedding ceremony will take place June 25 in Sage Chapel at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She will receive a doctor in veterinary medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in May. She will be employed as an equine practitioner in Frederick, Md.

The groom-elect is a 2008 graduate of Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in government. He is employed with the Justice Programs Office at the School of Public Affairs at American University in Washington, D.C., and is seeking a master’s degree in public policy.

The couple will make their home in Montgomery County, Md.
