A Veterans Day celebration was held Monday at Two Strike Park in La Crescenta.

The event was sponsored by American Legion Post 288 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1614. This year is the 100th anniversary of the American Legion.

The Crescenta Valley High School Air Forces Junior ROTC color guard conducted the “Presentation of Colors.”

The flag detail from the local American Legion honored all services of the military as the “Armed Forces Medley” was played, and members of each branch in the audience were encouraged to stand and be recognized.

Also, Boy Scout Troop 288, which is sponsored by American Legion Post 288, conducted the flag-retirement ceremony.
