Pair of suspects arrested in fatal Glendale shooting

Glendale police have arrested two individuals they believe are connected to a fatal shooting last Sunday that left one man dead.

In a statement released early Friday evening, the department said the two were identified after several days of extensive investigation. No further details were released about the two suspects, including their names or any connection to the dead man.

Officers from the Glendale Police Department responded to the shooting a little before 10:30 p.m. last Sunday in the 1100 block of North Central Avenue. When police arrived, they found two men down on a parking lot with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was transported to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently in recovery, according to the department.

The victims’ names have not been released.

Police said one or more males were spotted leaving the scene of the shooting.
