La Crescenta woman struck and killed by truck in Napa
A 36-year-old La Crescenta woman was killed in Napa Monday night after she was struck by a box truck on State Route 221, officials said.
Just before 8:30 p.m., the woman — identified by coroner’s officials as Courtney Coventry — was fatally struck crossing the roadway after walking into the path of an oncoming GMC box truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, was evaluated at the scene and is not suspected of driving under the influence.
The investigation is ongoing.
