Brand Library, Art Center hosts Friday night concerts throughout summer

Samba de Duas, a music group that combines Brazilian rhythms with jazz, performed Friday evening at Brand Library and Art Center as part of a music series held every Friday evening at 7 p.m. throughout the summer.

Upcoming performances include Drivin’ Mama Crazy on June 28, Zetz Klezmer Ensemble on July 5, Kim Project on July 12, Salsa Caliente on July 19, Detweiler New Orleans Jazz Funksemble on July 26, Fish to Birds on Aug. 2, the Vignes Rooftop Revival on Aug. 9, Anadis Music on Aug. 16, Izela on Aug. 23 and Bridge to Everywhere on Aug. 30.

Admission to the concerts is free. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no reserved seating. The library’s plaza seats from 75 to 90 people.

Visitors can bring a chair or blanket and sit on the grassy hillsides in Brand Park, located at 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale, according to event organizers.

Performances will run between 60 and 90 minutes without intermission.
