Police nabbed two men linked to several Glendale home break-ins over the weekend, including one that involved at least one of the suspects sneaking into a teenager’s bedroom while she slept and stealing her phone, police said.

Just before midnight on Sunday, police were called to the 1300 block of Orange Grove Avenue, where residents noticed that their home had been burglarized, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

Responding officers reportedly located a suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jonathan Baquiran, in the area and arrested him after a short foot pursuit.

The officers recovered stolen cologne, jewelry, a couple of iPhones, gloves, a bandana and a face mask from the suspect, William said.

Police linked some of the stolen items to other home burglaries reported during the previous two days in south Glendale, as well as in the city’s Royal Canyon neighborhood.

That included a phone stolen from a 19-year-old woman’s bedroom while she slept in her home in the 1000 block of Orange Grove Avenue.

During some of the burglaries, Baquiran was allegedly accompanied by a friend, identified by police as 20-year-old Glendale resident Zyryll Triunfo.

On Tuesday, detectives served a search warrant at Triunfo’s Glendale home, where they recovered more stolen items and arrested him, William said.

Meanwhile, Baquiran, who was out on bail for a burglary in Riverside when he allegedly committed the crimes in Glendale, was charged with five counts of residential burglary, William added.
