UPDATE: Lanes reopened after multi-car collision on Glendale (2) Freeway

A SigAlert was issued for the northbound Glendale (2) Freeway after a multi-car collision this afternoon near Mountain Street, officials said.
The crash occurred at 3:18 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Only one of six lanes remained open as fire crews treated patients.
[UPDATED 5:55 p.m.] The cause of the collision was unknown, according to Patrick Kimball, an officer with the California Highway Patrol.
Five people were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries, according to Brandy Villaneuva, spokesperson for the Glendale Fire Department.
All lanes were reopened at 4:47 p.m, Kimball said.
The crash was initially reported as a six-vehicle collision, but when the SigAlert was cancelled, officers on the scene reported only four vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
