A 30-year-old Sylmar woman driving a stolen truck led police on a 10-minute pursuit Monday that ended when she crashed the vehicle into a car in Glendale, police said.
Los Angeles police officers began chasing the driver, identified by officials as Tamara Hawatmeh, at the Golden State (5) Freeway and Penrose Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Sara Faden.
Hawatmeh traveled into Glendale, where she reportedly crashed at Kenneth Road and Justin Avenue a couple minutes after noon, Faden said.
Hawatmeh, who allegedly stole the truck from her parents, was reportedly injured and transported to the hospital for treatment, Los Angeles police officials posted on Twitter.
She was reportedly booked on suspicion of driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
