A Glendale couple was arrested after a tracking device in a stolen laptop pointed investigators to their home, officials said.
On Saturday morning, Irvine police notified Glendale officers that the tracker showed the laptop — which was stolen out of a car parked in Irvine — at an address in the 500 block of Glenwood Road, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
At the home, officers questioned Angel Dhajobhars, 32, and Michael Harding, 37, after seeing a laptop in plain view, Lightfoot said. Investigators then served a search warrant at the residence, where they reportedly recovered fake identification and belongings that appeared to have been stolen.
Police also discovered that a Honda Accord parked outside that the pair had been seen driving was reported stolen out of Irvine on Oct. 28, Lightfoot said.
Harding, who is on post-release community supervision stemming from a 2012 criminal case, originally lied to officers about his identity, Lightfoot said.
Both Harding and Dhajobhars were arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property.
