Three suspects were arrested on Wednesday in connection with two residential burglaries, police said.

At approximately 1 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Chadney Drive, where a woman said jewelry and other personal items had been stolen from her home, according to Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

The victim said she left her home at around 12:30 p.m. and noticed a red sedan-type vehicle occupied by two black males in their teens or early 20s parked in front of her residence.

The victim left for a short time and upon returning home, she found her home had been broken into through a bedroom window and ransacked, Lightfoot said.

While officers were investigating the burglary, they saw a vehicle being driven nearby at Kirkham Drive and Lenore Drive that matched the description of the vehicle that was parked in front of the victim’s home.

Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the occupants — two 17-year-old males and a 19-year-old male identified as Donte Fox, all residents of Pasadena, Lightfoot said.

During the course of the investigation, officers found that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day from the 1500 block of Bank Street in Pasadena. While searching the vehicle, officers found jewelry and personal items stolen from the Chadney Drive residence, according to Lightfoot.

Officers conducted a search of the males and found additional jewelry and other items in their pockets that were related to the Chadney Drive burglary.

While on the scene, officers were advised of a second home that had been burglarized in the 3100 block of Chadney Drive. Items stolen from that home were also found in the vehicle and on Fox, Lightfoot said.

The three males were arrested on suspicion of burglary and car theft.

The two 17-year-olds were cited and released to family members.

On Thursday, detectives searched Fox’s residence and the home of one of the 17-year-olds. Items were seized and recovered as evidence, according to police.
