GLENDALE - There may be a run on thinking caps Monday.

Students from four campuses will face off in the Glendale Unified

School District’s 10th annual High School Scholastic Bowl.

Fritz Coleman of KNBC-TV Channel 4 will once again serve as quizmaster

at the competition, starting at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Glendale

High, 1440 E. Broadway.

The following students will make up the Clark Magnet High team:

William Bairamian, Ross Diankov, Samantha Lawler, Jimmy Kan and Chester

Ramos.

Crescenta Valley High will send: Michael Blume, Tania Daneschvar, Paul

Mignano, Wes Morrow and Ryan Stoddard.

Glendale High will be represented by: Marcia Fernandez, Kristina

Holst, Daniel Kang, Gemin Keshishian and Yujin Yi.

Hoover High’s team will include: Raffi Djihanian, Brandon Cipes, Vahe

Shirvanian and twin sisters Elizabeth and Rachel Van Houten.

Students will be tested in fine arts, language arts, history, math and

science. They will be competing for nearly $4,000 in awards and

scholarships.

The event is free and open to the public.
