GLENDALE -- A 45-year-old La Crescenta man died Tuesday after
plummeting 16 floors from the roof of a hotel in what was an apparent
suicide, according to police reports.
A guest at the Hilton Glendale Hotel, 100 W. Glenoaks Blvd., reported
finding a man’s body lying face down with blood flowing from his head on
the roof of the fourth floor Tuesday morning.
Police found the man with cuts on his inner thigh and right bicep and
a pool of blood near his head. He was pronounced dead at 7 a.m., the
police report states.
Police found a suicide note in the man’s hotel room, explaining why he
killed himself. Police reports state there were no signs of foul play.
Police believe the man jumped from the 19th-story roof, hit a metal
wall covering air conditioners and landed on the fourth-story roof,
according to the report.
