GCC admissions and records dean named

GLENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE -- Sharon Combs, a La Canada Flintridge

resident, has been named Dean of Admissions and Records at Glendale

Community College.

Combs, 55, served as acting dean after Gary Parker died suddenly last

year, and has been a GCC staff member for the past 12 years. She was an

admissions counselor before accepting the interim position.

Combs, who returned to college at 34, earned a bachelor’s degree in

psychology and a master’s in higher education counseling at Cal State Los

Angeles.

She and her husband, Ray, have two children and two grandchildren.
