INGEBORG GENEVIEVE NORD ZERNE
Ingeborg Genevieve Nord Zerne, 77, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000.
Mrs. Zerne was born in Stockholm, Sweden on Oct. 26, 1922 and came to America in 1940 by boat. She was a nurse in the pediatric unit of White
Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles and a nursing instructor at Glendale
Adventist Hospital.
Mrs. Zerne was actively involved in WAIF, an organization that assists
the adoption of children from abroad.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley; daughters, Julie-Ann
Zerne-Young, Pamela Harman and Regina Zerne-Patrick; sister, Vernette
Morrice; grandchildren, Mark Harman, Nils Patrick and Annika Young; her
extended family and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of
the Recessional, Forest Lawn, Glendale, 1712 S. Glendale Ave. Funeral and
internment are private.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the Asthma
and Allergy Foundation, the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Foundation
Ingeborg Zerne Memorial Fund and Operation: Children.
