GLENDALE -- The Glendale Police Department is searching for a Glendale
woman who has allegedly abducted her three children.
Gloria Terranova was supposed to appear at a child custody exchange at
the Burbank Police Department on Jan. 12, where she would have handed
over her three children to her husband, Thomas Terranova, who had joint
custody of the kids.
Terranova never showed up. Her whereabouts are unknown, said Glendale
Police Sgt. Rick Young.
In the wake of her failure to appear, a court has awarded full custody
of the children to Terranova’s husband, Young said.
Glendale Police, along with The National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children, are trying to track Terranova down. Glendale Crime
Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to
the return of the children.
“We just want to get the kids back and make sure they’re in a safe
place,” Young said.
Debra Bernard, the attorney for Gloria Terranova, declined to comment
on the case and said her client was “missing at this time.”
The children are 26-month-old Gloria Christina Terranova, 4-year-old
Jean Tiffany Terranova and 21-month-old Christian Thomas Terranova.
