Man leads police on chase to Echo Park

GLENDALE -- A 30-year-old Glendale man is scheduled to be arraigned

today on charges he stole a car and led Glendale Police on a chase for

several miles.

Another man reported his Toyota Corolla was stolen late Saturday and

police spotted the car nearby, officials said. The driver headed south on

the Glendale (2) Freeway and exited in Echo Park, according to police

reports. The driver eventually stopped in that city along Glendale

Boulevard and surrendered to police.

The driver, who was on parole for other crimes, was being held on

$35,000 bail Monday afternoon.
