After reading about one candidate’s withdrawal from the City Council

race, I was sadly disappointed. Vache Mangassarian has been a great

advocate toward the betterment of our city. His show, Armenian National

Network, has been known for providing “accurate” and “nonbiased” opinions

to the Armenian community on local, state, and national affairs.

His role in the Rogan-Schiff race is a great example of this.

Mangassarian played a unique role in publicizing former Rep. Rogan’s

trip to Armenia as one of the ‘true heroic acts in Armenian history” and

cautioned us about then state Sen. Schiff’s “agenda of teaching

homosexuality to our school kids.”

Showing great integrity, Mangassarian took it into his own hands to

insult Schiff and his record in order to benefit Rogan. Mangassarian’s

continuous devotion to the city is proven through his effort to make the

city a better place through misinformation, deceit, and almost a

noninvolvement in most affairs of the city.

Mangassarian would have been an exceptionally great councilman.
