NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- Car lovers descended on Verdugo Park Sunday for
the eighth annual Jewel City Kiwanis Club of Glendale Charity Car Show.
The show featured more than 350 classic vehicles -- from stock cars
and hot rods to antiques like Glendale resident Scot Sertic’s 1921 Model
T Roadster.
“It’s completely original,” Sertic said. “The car’s been in my family.
My grandfather got it from his father, who got it from Henry Ford, I
guess.”
Sertic doesn’t like to approach the car as a museum piece. He still
drives it around, and says it runs perfectly.
“Top speed is about 40 miles per hour,” he said. “With the wind behind
you and going downhill.
