My daughter Laurie lives in Glendale and I was out there to visit her
the beginning of April.
When my daughter lived here in New York, my wife and I would take her
into Manhattan to see Broadway shows quite often. In fact, many people
have said that my daughter (now in her 20s) has seen more shows than they
have in a lifetime!
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that while walking around the
neighborhood, I happened to come across the Glendale Centre Theatre. They
were performing “West Side Story.’ I was so excited to find theater away
from home (although, realistically, I know theater exists everywhere),
but I said to my daughter, “Why don’t we go see this?”). She agreed
immediately.
We went to see the performance April 5. I must say, that in my
opinion, we will be hearing from some of these actors. They were so
focused, so professional. They were what we call a “triple threat.” They
sing, act, and dance. It was a wonderful performance.
Anyone that is interested in theater should definitely visit the
Glendale Center Theatre when they are in that city.
Thank you, Glendale Centre Theatre, for an extraordinary evening of
theater with this classic musical.
“Break a leg!”
