Girl Scout volunteers recognized for service

GLENDALE -- The Mt. Wilson Vista Council of the Girl Scouts recently

honored nearly 30 adult leaders and volunteers for their contributions.

June Henry, Tracy Fisher and Jo Anne Bell of the Crescenta Valley

service unit were each named outstanding volunteer at the council’s

annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on June 12.

Dana McDermott of the council’s La Canada Flintridge service unit, and

Carol Mutchnik, Patti Brundige, Linda Dingler and Connie Janson of the

Crescenta Valley unit received honor pins for delivering outstanding

service to two or more communities.

Appreciation pins for outstanding service to a community went to

Sharon Brady, Silvana Casalegno and Jessica Hueter of the Crescenta

Valley unit.

Noli Caswell, Susan Boyd and Karen Kreider of the La Canada Flintridge

unit received the President’s Award for moving an assigned area toward

excellence.

The Crescenta Valley service unit includes La Crescenta, Tujunga and

Montrose.
