Engagements

Hertz -- Pickett

Jennifer Christine Hertz and Jeff Robert Pickett have announced their

engagement and will marry in September.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Suzanne Hertz of

Glendale and Barbara Hertz Chamberlain of La Verne. The groom-to-be is

the son of Robert and Mary Pickett of Walnut Creek.

The bride-to-be graduated from Glendale High School in 1993 and UCLA

in 1998. At UCLA, she was Josephine Bruin, the university mascot and a

member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is now a third-grade teacher

at Beryl Heights School in Redondo Beach.

The groom-elect graduated from Northgate High School in 1993 and UCLA

in 1998. He was a member of the UCLA band. He is now an analyst for

Tucker Anthony Sutro in Los Angeles.

Veres -- Kothari

Amy Joy Veres and Shil Kothari have announced their plans to marry in

June.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Stephen Veres of Burbank. She

graduated from Burbank High School in 1988, and received her master’s

degree in public health from Cal State Long Beach. She works for Pacific

Care Health Systems in Concord.

The groom-to-be is the son of Chuck and Bena Kothari of Edmonton,

Alberta, Canada. He graduated from the University of Alberta, and earned

his master’s degree in biochemistry from Cal State Long Beach. He works

for Inter Health Nutraceuticals in Concord.

Stage -- Brey

Heather Stage and Jason Brey of Burbank have announced their

engagement. They will marry this month.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charles and Gigi Rivera of Ventura

and Mike Stage.

The groom-to-be is the son of Joe and Barbara Brey of Lake Forest,

formerly of Burbank for 34 years.

Heather is attending Cal State Northridge, where she is working toward

her English credential.

Jason received his bachelor of arts degree from the USC School of

Cinema.
