NORTHWEST GLENDALE -- Each day in the United States, about 2,100
children are reported missing, according to statistics from the FBI.
A Huntington Beach-based program that comes to Glendale on Saturday
wants people to know that it could happen to any child at any time.
“The most important thing is to get the information out and get it out
within 24 hours,” said private investigator Dino M. Zaffina.
Zaffina’s company, Trinity International Investigations, designed a
program to quickly provide parents with a complete identification record
and a way to get the information out quickly.
The Child Advantage Risk Eliminator Program puts together a photo,
fingerprints, vital information and stores the information on a database
for one year, Zaffina said.
If a child becomes missing, parents can call the agency’s toll-free
number, which will send the information via e-mail to other agencies, he
said.
The program will be at 101 Sports, formerly Haugens Sporting Goods,
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 28. Those interested should register before
Saturday. The cost is $10 per card and $5 additional card.
For those registering after Saturday, the cost will be $20.
The sporting goods store is at 1221 W. Glenoaks Blvd. For more
information, call Zaffina at (714) 899-8586.
