‘Popping’ in to Popeye’s

A woman sitting inside Popeye’s Chicken and Biscuits got more on her

table than she wanted Monday afternoon when a minivan ran into the store.

The woman, whose name was not released, received cuts and scrapes when

glass and debris sprayed across her table. She was taken to a local

hospital for treatment. Noone else was seriously hurt, police said. The

wreck, which involved three cars at the intersection of Western Avenue

and Glenoaks Boulevard, sent the minivan careening into the corner of the

restaurant at 1651 W. Glenoaks Blvd. at about 2 p.m. Monday. Glendale

Police were still investigating the crash Monday night.
