Marine Corps Reserve Pvt. Edwin A. Gamez, son of Petronila and Juan

Gamez of Glendale, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps

Recruit Depot, San Diego. He is a 1999 graduate of John Burroughs High

School.

Marine Corps PFC. Jae H. Cho of La Crescenta recently completed basic

training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. He is a 1998 graduate

of Crescenta Valley High School.

Navy Hospitalman Recruit Joseph P. Lopez, son of Debbie Costanza of

Glendale, recently graduated from the Basic Hospital Corps School at

Naval Hospital Corps School, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2000 graduate of

Hoover High School.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Jonathan Lozada of Glendale recently graduated

from Basic Hospital Corps School at Naval Hospital Corps School, Great

Lakes, Ill. He is a 2000 graduate of Hoover High School.

Civilian Erin K. Frazier, daughter of Cynthia and Alan S. Frazier of

Montrose, recently participated in the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar

in Annapolis, Md. She was one of 1,500 high school students selected out

of an applicant pool of more than 5,000 students, based on her academic

record and extracurricular activity.

Army Reserve Pvt. Richard J. Hall II, son of Janet S. and Richard J.

Hall of Sunland, has graduated from light-wheel vehicle mechanic advance

individual training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2001

graduate of Verdugo Hills High School.
