the Becker’s grandchildren, Lindsey and Matt Becker and Lauren Gilhooley.
At the dinner, John and Sallie were presented with a surprise trip to
London and Paris for their anniversary gift from the children and
grandchildren.

Church in Glendale.

years has worked in the construction industry.

baby-sitter for their 9-year-old granddaughter, Lauren.

The couple met at dance at the Glendale Civic Auditorium in the spring
of 1941, and married three months later at Holy Family Church in

A dinner and reception was celebrated at Brookside Country Club. In
attendance were their seven children; Marilyn Stanley, Eileen Casterline,
Christine Schwanz, Rita La Face, Daniel Chapman, David Chapman and
Margaret Ahr, and their 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The bride’s maid of honor and sister, Marjory McNeal, as well as other
family members were present for the anniversary celebration.
Robert worked for the city of Glendale for 30 years as a control room
operator and supervisor at the Glendale power plant.
Agnes was a homemaker and a beautician at a local beauty shop.
As part of the celebration their children gave them a cruise to
Mexico.
