Court TV to air Orr documentary

GLENDALE -- Court TV will air a documentary about former Glendale Fire

captain-turned-arsonist John Orr at 11 p.m. Wednesday on Charter

Communications Channel 47.

“The Firestarter” is part of documentary series called “The System.”

Orr, a former arson investigator, was convicted in 1998 of setting the

1990 College hills fire that destroyed 67 homes and caused $50 million in

damage.

He is serving a 30-year sentence in a federal penitentiary in Lompoc

and faces a life sentence in state prison for his role in a fire that

killed four people.

Orr continues to maintain his innocence.
