Chamber to host mixer

DOWNTOWN -- The Glendale Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly

mixer Jan. 16.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Olive Garden, 101 N.

Brand Blvd, and costs $7 for members and $10 for nonmembers.

City to review office building project

NORTHWEST GLENDALE -- Millennium Tower, an 11-story office building

proposed for the corner of California and Central avenues, is up for its

final design review Tuesday at a meeting of the Glendale Redevelopment

Agency.

The project would replace three existing businesses on the corner,

including a 25-unit apartment building, Greenwood Automotive and the

Carpet King.

The proposed building will include about 5,000 square feet of retail

space on its ground floor, three levels of subterranean parking and three

levels of above-ground parking.

The Redevelopment Agency meeting is expected to begin at 3:30 p.m. in

the City Council chambers at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.

Kenneth Village merchants to meet

NORTHWEST GLENDALE -- The Kenneth Village Merchants Assn. will meet

Tuesday for its monthly meeting.

The meeting runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at George’s Restaurant, 1418 W.

Kenneth Road.
