CHEN -- CARTER

Claire F. Chen and Barton A. Carter II have announced their plans to

marry in the fall.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. James and Fay Chen of Cerritos.

She received her bachelor’s degree in economics at UC Berkeley and her

master’s at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Mass

Communications. She is an art director at Lowe Lintas in Singapore.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Juanita and Bart Carter II of

Glendale. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology at UCLA and his

law degree at Georgetown Law School. He is an attorney at Latham and

Watkins in Singapore.

URQUIZA -- BROGMUS

Iberia Grace Urquiza and George Erich Brogmus have announced their

plans to marry in the summer.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marta Urquiza of Burbank and the

late Phillip Urquiza.

She graduated from John Burroughs High School. She received her

bachelor’s degree in family environmental science from Cal State

Northridge. She is employed with the city of Glendale.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Gene and Libby Brogmus of Burbank.

He graduated from Glendale High School and received his bachelor’s degree

in electrical engineering from UCLA and a master’s in human factors from

USC. He is employed as a technical director of ergonomics for Liberty

Mutual.
