VERONICA ‘RONNIE’ MARGARET BOSLET

Veronica “Ronnie” Margaret Boslet, 89, a longtime La Crescenta

resident, died March 14, 2002, in Pasadena.

She was born Veronica Collins on Sept. 18, 1912, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

In 1938, she married John “Jack” J. Boslet. In 1948, they moved to Los

Angeles, and in 1949 to La Crescenta.

She became a licensed vocational nurse in 1969 and worked in that

profession until her retirement in 1982.

She and her husband were founding parishioners of St. James the Less

Church, and she was active in the St. James Altar Society and the

Primetimers.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Kruse of La Canada

Flintridge and Patricia Griffin of Murphys; son, John F. Boslet of

Irvine; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Acer

of New Jersey; and brother, Edmund Collins of New York.

Her husband died in 1987.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. James the Less Church.

Burial will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Veronica Boslet’s name to

the National Heart Foundation, 15825 Shady Grove Road, Suite 140,

Rockville, MD 20850.

Crippen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

RONALD PAUL RETTIG

Ronald Paul Rettig, 65, a longtime Montrose resident, died Feb. 19,

2002, in a Glendale hospital.

Mr. Rettig was born in Chicago.

He was a VIP host for 38 years with Pan American Airlines.

He is survived by his nieces, Lindsay Dorio of Carson City, Nev., and

Belinda Holm of Tujunga.

A memorial Mass will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic

Church.

Burial will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

Crippen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
