Letter - Marjorie H. Carne

As a resident of 26 years in Glendale, I’ve never been moved to write

a fan letter -- this one for the great color photo on Friday’s front page

by Scott Roby.

It is so beautiful in its clarity, composition and artistic merit, I

hope that it will be entered in whatever photo contests may be warranted

-- maybe the Los Angeles Times?

Although I’m not a photographer other than rank amateur, my background

includes acting. Cover-searching for just the right locales was always

top priority, so I can appreciate a bit of the technique that went into

Scott Roby’s graphic “Welcome to Spring.” Thanks for adding a “plus” to

my day.

I’ll look forward to seeing more of his work and to continuing our

community coverage in the News-Press.
