Department of the Air Force Civilian Cheryl J. Miller, daughter of

Eleanor O. Mackey of Burbank and Charles W. Mackey of Glendale, has

been named the 2001 communications and information professional of

the year for the headquarters, 12th Air Force at Davis-Monthan Air

Force Base in Tucson, Ariz. She is a 1970 graduate of Hoover High

School.

Army Pfc. Daniel J. Dusek, son of Jaroslav and Jana Dusek of La

Crescenta, has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal. He is

an aircraft pneudraulics repairer with the G Conpany, 52nd Aviation

Regiment at Camp Eagle in Wonju, South Korea. He is a 1998 graduate

of Arcadia High School.

Army Pfc. Rodrik Khachikian, son of Anoosh Tarverdi and Haygaz

Khachik, Glendale, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort

Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
