City accepting zoning board applications

The city is accepting applications through Aug. 8 for a vacancy on

the Board of Zoning Adjustments.

The board is a quasi-judicial body whose responsibility is to hear

and rule on appeals made by the zoning administrator on requests for

administrative relief from land-use regulations.

Applicants must be qualified electors of the city at the time of

appointment and during incumbency.

Applications can be picked up at the city clerk’s office on the

first floor of City Hall, 613 E. Broadway, and can be mailed to the

clerk’s office or faxed to 241-5386.
