JUNIOR
Anchor Pacifica Smoothies 9, SWR Sound Pepsies 3: The Pepsies had
some spectacular performances from several players. Robin Jamison hit
a three-run home run and Kate Hansen had a two-run shot. Hansen also
made a dazzling play at shortstop.
Lisa Jackson (two-run single) and Ashley Gorvetzian (run-scoring
single) also did well for the Pepsies.
Meredith Horner hit a home run and Sylvia Stoker hit two singles
for the Smoothies.
A Noise Within 18, Cavedweller Prod. 10: Tia Chen started the game
with a home run. Malia Mailes had the final run batted in with a
sharp single.
Taylor Townes added a home run and scored four times. Chelsea
Meeks went three for three. Megan Lane showed great control as the
starter, striking out four and walking none.
For a Noise Within, Molly Peitzman made some terrific stops at
third base and shortstop. Anna Brenner hit the ball hard and made
great fielding putouts from the pitcher’s circle. Clare Facer had an
outstanding game at first base. She also had a line drive double to
left field.
ROOKIE
McDonalds 3, Juice It Up 1: Stephanie Bathke’s two-run home run in
the first inning gave McDonalds the lead. She also scored a run in
the second inning.
Kathryn Hathaway and Kaitlyn Kelleher played well on defense for
Juice It Up. The rotation of Lauren Cox, Laura Schroeder and Shelby
Comstock did a fine job.
Juice it Up’s lone run was provided by Lauren Cox’s solo home run.
Trumark Real Estate 1, Sierra Leasing 1: Pete Donaldson, Lindsay
Monroe and Jeff Olson pitched well.
El Cholo 9, Gillespie Insurance 1: Andie Evans (who scored two
runs), Emily Sullivan (who hit a home run) and Kendall Sandoval (who
scored a run and pitched the final two innings) did well for El
Cholo.
Countrywide Cubs 6, Orchid Park 3: Katie Benson, Colleen Degnan,
Maddie Frasier, Gabrielle Fitzpatrick and Lauren Christopher all had
hits to power the Cubs.
Degnan, Christopher and Frasier also pitched.
Sports Medicine 4, Gillespie Insurance 4: Abby Davitt had a
leadoff double and then scored on Lucy Celoni’s single. Kelsey Drange
had two hits and scored twice.
Megan Cornall also pitched well. Lisa Gillespie had a triple and
Jena Johnson drove in two runs.
McDonalds 10, Countrywide Cubs 2: Amy Young had a great diving
play at first base for the Cubs. Colleen Degnan also had a couple of
fantastic tags.
Ashley Clark, Natalie Markowitz and Jessica Ogden led the team on
offense. Lauren Christopher performed well as a pitcher.
Emily Valencia pitched two strong innings for McDonalds. Stephanie
Bathke hit two home runs and Brette O’Brien had a triple.
Trumark Real Estate 8, Orchid Park 4: Tess Stenzel hit a double
and a triple. Kelly Stewart also doubled, and Emily Fisher and
Kendall Walbrecht also had hits.
Angela Fuhrman had a two-run double and made a great play at first
on a hard-hit ground ball. Kelly Trueblood had four hits, Cailin
Howey had three and Stephanie Ferri collected one.
El Cholo 5, Juice It Up 1: Ivana Tasic and Kendall Sandoval
pitched and did well.
Andie Evans, Emily Sullivan, Tasic and Kara Lankey scored to lead
El Cholo.
PIXIE (no score kept)
You Go Girl vs. Behr Construction: Behr Construction was led by
Katie Schiller, Hannah Docherty and Kathleen Rodick.
You Go Girl was led by Madison Johnson, Sammi Campbell and Kaitlin
Powers, who had three hits and three runs apiece.
Prometheus vs. Wynn’s: Good defensive plays were provided by
Danielle Barry and Tracey Andrews. Olivia Lam was great at first
base.
Caroline Bender, Daisy Beckner and Maddy McCollum all hit the ball
out of the infield. Emily Develle assisted on three outs in one
inning. She was helped by Colleen Pernecky, Shea McCracken, Alyssa
Stomack and Lucy Newcombe.
Hennon Surveying & Mapping Inc. vs. You Go Girl: Rebecca-Marie
Kaze scored five runs for You Go Girl.
Kaitlin Powers and Hannah Martinez led a great defensive effort.
Prometheus Blueberries vs. Bright & Brown: Pitcher Olivia Champ
and first baseman Michelle Grochow combined for a terrific play, and
Kellyn O’Leary and Kristen Becker showed their quickness running the
bases.
Kylie Brakeman had a smash hit to the outfield. Taylor Afshar
played great in the circle, getting two outs. Marissa Glidewell
almost got a runner out at home plate from third base.

MAJOR
Parkview Pet Clinic 24, Tujunga Cruisers 4: Parkview Pet Clinic
capitalized on 10 walks and nine errors in the victory. Parkview
finished with 14 hits, including two doubles. Baillie Kirker, Kylie
Mulligan and Emma Vine each had three hits for Parkview. Kirker (6-0)
picked up the win, striking out eight and allowing two hits in four
innings. Mulligan pitched the final two innings for the save.
Parkview Pet Clinic 16, Firebelles 6: Baillie Kirker (5-0) struck
out 10 and walked one in four innings for Parkview Pet Clinic. Kylie
Mulligan, Sissy Sovereign, Kirker, Sofie Munoz and Whitney Cowell
each had multiple hits for Parkview, which received strong defense
from Emma Vine and Shannon Adelman.
16-AND-UNDER
Rock Solid 8, Craig’s Electric 8: Annie Brock struck out five for
Rock Solid. Rachel Tobias hit two home runs and had a triple. Nicole
Benadom and Brock each had a hit.
For Craig’s Electric, Valerie Phan had two hits and drove in two
runs. Ericka Roberts, Ashley Fisher, Kari Herwig and Carissa Derksen
scored a run apiece.
Rock Solid 8, Craig’s Electric 3: Sarah Biggs pitched six strong
innings for Rock Solid. Corrine Connely (four innings) and Erika
Roberts (two) pitched for Craig’s Electric.
12-AND-UNDER
Dynamite 16, Pacific Eco. Group 2: Devon Zerebko pitched four
strong innings. Jessie Ernst tossed the final two innings. They
allowed one run apiece.
Dynamite 16, F.F.B.&S.; 6: Kaylene Negri started her team’s rally
with a bases-loaded double in the third inning. Taylor Kuh hit a solo
home run in the fifth.
Dani Marino provided a great defensive effort.
10-AND-UNDER
Sparks 11, Pat Harris Plumbing 7: Julie Warden had two hits,
including a two-run home run. Teammate Elyse Borst also had two hits,
including a triple.
Frances Stupakis made several fine defensive plays and Breanna
Klein pitched three strong innings.
Angels 20, Pat Harris Plumbing 0: Christina Mata and Cassy Naphen
drove in runs for the Angels. Kelly Herrera added multiple hits.
Savannah Rhoads and Taylor Anderson scored four runs apiece.
Angels 8, Kiwanis 6: Kellsey Butler had a bases-loaded double.
Butler, Megan Martin and Taylor Perdew shared pitching duties in the
win. Mallory Carcich contributed an impressive defensive performance
at third base.
Sparks 10, Mobile Storage 9: Julia Warden’s triple drove in Elyse
Borst for the winning run.
Kelsey Crowther scored twice for the Sparks. Teammate Alexa
Sasmita drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double.
Megan Siepler had three hits and Kaitlan Fitzpatrick had two for
Mobile. Alysha Bermudez added a triple.
8-AND-UNDER
Montrose Travel 12, Dilbeck 0: Whitney Craig, McKall Miller,
Rachel Turner, Sharon Lee all had singles and Olivia Cain had a
triple to pace Montrose Travel.
In the third inning, Dilbeck attacked with singles by Rebecca
Pereira, Kyle Marshall and Molly Burke, but Montrose Travel held
Dilbeck scoreless.
Turner, Cain, Michaela Shansall and Lisa Kang all had singles in
the fourth. Lindsay Bergstrom added a double and Maddie Diaz had a
home run.
High Temp 16, Jerez Mortgage 8: High Temp pulled away early with
singles by Kaja Sondergaard, Sierra Rhoads, Amanda Martinez and
Gracie Kenny. Marcela Carbajal, Rachelle Cruz, Grace Taylor, Isabella
Torres and Sofia Torres responded with singles for Jerez Mortgage.
Tiffany Yzaguirre, Carbajal, Cruz, Isabella Torres and Melissa
Minter all had singles in the third. Jessie Magallon also had a
three-run home run.
Amanda Andrus and Kaitlyn Christman had singles for Jerez Mortgage
in the fourth.
TEE-BALL SOFTBALL
The Heating and Cooling Tee-Ball squad played a great game
Saturday at Montrose Park. Taylor Hill and Kendal Huerkins recorded
their first triple play of the year.
Hailey Cookson, Melanie Henson and Megan Bosveld hit the ball very
hard and made some great plays in the infield. Kaitlyn Arriola,
Claire Mencia, Sydney Potrykus, Amy Smith and Simone Dupuy all played
exceptionally well in the infield and hit like champs.
