JUNIOR BASEBALL

Shakey’s Pizza 16, Trotta 3: Shakey’s Pizza evened the season

series against Trotta at two wins apiece with Sunday’s victory

Shakey’s Pizza cruised to the victory after scoring seven runs in

the second inning. Shakey’s Pizza pitcher Daniel Oh did a good job of

keeping the potent Trotta roster in check, allowing two hits in four

innings.

A.J. Bernhardt, Max Bogenmann, Phil Moses, Oh, and Danny Stickar

all doubled. Brian Lim had a double for Trotta. Tristan Barner, G.P.

Adrian and Danny Costello singled.

Trotta Floor Covering 18, Angels 5: Brad Shaw scored Trotta’s

first run in the first inning. Danny Costello and Eric Eberhart added

singles in the second inning.

The Angels scored four runs in the third inning. Trotta scored 13

runs in the final two innings to pull away.

Trotta Floor Covering 8, Padres 2: Trotta scored two runs in the

bottom of the first on a single by Eric Eberhart and a double by G.P.

Adrian. Eberhart and Brad Shaw added singles in the third.

MAJOR BASEBALL

Gangi Builders 12, Glendale Police 7: Niko Horwith picked up the

win in Gangi’s 12-hit attack. Carlo Monasterio had a triple and two

singles. Travis Scott had a double and a single.

Kevin Chase had a triple, Martin Rivera had two singles, and

Andrew Overgaard and Max Hempel each singled.

David Whitaker doubled, and Karsen Reedy and Mason Holland each

had a pair of singles for the Glendale Police. Nick Taix, Kyle

Pomeroy and Bobby Coffin each singled.

Landry’s Sporting Goods 5, Trotta Floor Covering 0: Jake Lehne

earned the win on the mound, as he combined with Jacob Hoogenhuizen

for 13 strikeouts. Kyle Cota and Keith Jackson tripled, Ronnie Verna

doubled, and Adam Overgaard, Hoogenhuizen, Lehne, Matt Zilinsky and

Joey Torres all had singles.

Justin Rapose had a double, and Joey Sedano and Cortland Real

singled for Trotta.

High Temp Metals 11, Glendale Firemen’s Club 4: High Temp had five

hits in the win. Myles Neimeyer paced the offense with a double. Zack

Torres, John Salas, Jason Cheung and Mac Musso all singled.

For the Firemen, Alex Tarankow had a double, RJ Morris and Mike

Bako had two singles apiece, and Scott Morrow, Robby Seibly and Matt

Miller all singled.

Glendale City Employees 9, Gangi Builders 0: Travis Feldman was a

one-man wrecking crew, tossing a one-hitter and striking out 10 in a

complete-game effort. He also belted his first home run of the season

and had a double.

Teammate Andrew Pita had three singles, Eric Jauffret had a double

and a single, and Matt Ashby, Brandt Bowers, Michael Breeden and

Anthony Parks all singled.

Kevin Chase had Gangi’s lone hit, an infield single that came with

two outs in the sixth inning.

Glendale Firemen’s Club 4, Trotta Floor Covering 3: Glendale

scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning to register the

come-from-behind victory. Scott Morrow picked up the win and had a

single. Tavin Robie, Matt Miller and Nathan Grau also singled.

Cortland Real and Justin Rapose both doubled for Trotta. Joey

Sedano and Tyler Schloessmann each singled.

Glendale Firemen’s Club 3, Gangi Builders 2: Tavin Robbie hit his

first home run of the season and had a single to lead Glendale to the

victory. Scott Morrow earned the win on the mound.

Morrow also had a double and a single. Nick Leon also doubled.

Robby Seibly, Grant Sclafani and Trent Ward all singled.

High Temp Metals 14, Trotta Floor Covering 0: John Salas tossed a

complete-game, two-hit shutout, striking out 12. Lonnie Kauppila hit

his first home run of the year and had a double.

Ryan Eberhart doubled and singled. Andrew Fisher had two singles,

Myles Neimeyer doubled, and Zack Torres and Jeff Roberts singled.

Brian Casey and Tyler Schloessmann singled for Trotta.

Glendale City Employees 6, Glendale Police 3: The Glendale Police

took a 3-2 lead into the sixth inning. But the Glendale City

Employees scored one run in the sixth to tie the game and three more

in the seventh to extend its unbeaten streak to 14.

Pitcher Joe Primo earned the win. Travis Feldman led the hitting

with two doubles. Andrew Pita, who was five for five in the week, had

two singles. Eric Jauffret, Matt Ashby, Brandt Bowers, Anthony Parks

and Colin Duplessis all singled.

Karsen Reedy and David Whitaker combined for 10 strikeouts for the

Glendale Police. Jack Snyder had a double, and Whitaker, Kyle Pomeroy

and Bobby Coffin all singled.

Landry’s Sporting Goods 9, Glendale Police 1: Pitcher Jake Lehne

recorded the win, and combined with Jacob Hoogenhuizen for 12

strikeouts. Troy Mulcahey led Landry’s Sporting Goods with a double

and two singles.

double and a single. Nick Dragovich had two singles. Karsen Reedy and

David Whitaker doubled for Glendale.

Troy Mulcahey hit his first home run to pace Landry’s 14-hit attack.

singles, Jake Lehne and Ronnie Verna had two singles apiece, Kyle

Cota had a double, and Keith Jackson, Matt Zilinsky and Adam

Overgaard singled.

twice and Tavin Robie singled for the Glendale Firemen’s Club.

tossed a complete game to earn the win. Andrew Overgaard doubled and

singled, Kevin Chase tripled, Niko Horwith had a double, Anthony

Tellache had two singles and Kenny Dacher singled.

For Trotta, Cortland Real had a double and a single, and Joey

Sedano, Justin Rapose, RJ Keenan and Kyle Booth all had singles.

High Temp Metals 3, Glendale Police 2: The Glendale Police scored

two runs in the sixth inning to pull within one. It had the tying run

on third base and the winning run on second when Zack Torres made a

fine defensive play to end the game.

John Salas braved a tough final inning to record the complete-game

victory. High Temp was led by Lonnie Kauppila, who had a double.

Torres had two singles and Myles Neimeyer had one.

Karsen Reedy had two singles and pitched a good game for the

Glendale Police. James Heinemann, Nick Taix, Mason Holland, David

Whitaker and Bobby Coffin all singled.

Glendale City Employees 2, Landry’s Sporting Goods 0: Brandt

Bowers of the Glendale City Employees and Jake Lehne of Landry’s

Sporting Goods put on a show, as they met for the first time since

the first-half championship game.

Lehne struck out 10 and went three for three with three singles.

Bowers tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out 14 and slugging a

double. Eric Jauffret and Andrew Pita singled for Glendale.

High Temp Metals 10, Glendale Firemen’s Club 0: Myles Neimeyer

picked up the win and led the hitting with a double and a single.

Zack Torres, Ryan Eberhart and Jason Cheung each doubled.

Lonnie Kauppila had two singles, and Cole Kendall and Trevor

Boynton singled. Neimeyer and Kauppila combined to toss a one-hitter.

team to the victory with three doubles and a single. Pitcher Niko

Horwith picked up the win.

Mulcahey singled twice, and Jake Lehne and Ronnie Verna doubled. Matt

Zilinsky and Connor Smith each singled.

Brian Casey had two singles, and Joey Sedano and Garry Dowse had

one hit apiece for Trotta.

MAJOR SOFTBALL

Parkview 3, Western Studios 3: Heather Bacon and Baillie Kirker

each pitched well in the league championship. Parkview (15-1-1) and

Western Studios (14-2-1) will need to a playoff to determine the

league champion.

Parkview 14, Red Hots 9: Kyle Mulligan earned her ninth win of the

season for Parkview. Baillie Kirker picked up her fourth save.

Jackie Springer was awarded the game ball for her effort behind

the plate. Nicole Duncan hit another home run for Red Hots.

Sissy Sovereign, Emmma Vine, Michelle Deunay, Jessica Ferrara,

Sofie Munoz and Hans Bracht all had hits for Parkview.

12-AND-UNDER SOFTBALL

Dynamite 13, Pacific Eco. Group 5: Kaylene Negri led her team with

a two-run triple in the second inning. Stephanie Ziemann was

excellent on defense.

Dynamite 16, F.F.B.&S; 3: Jessie Ernst set the pace for Dynamite

with a great start in the circle. Dana Carey had a good game with

great running, excellent defense and strong hits.

Dynamite 10, Los Gringos Locos 8: Lauren McCandrews and Alyssa

Larson both went three for four, and Kari Van Horn went four for

four.

Los Gringos Locos 15, F.F.B.&S.; 11: Brigitte Malatjanian homered,

tripled and went three for three. Alyssa Larson, Lauren McCandrews

and Elizabeth Jacoby scored three runs apiece.

10-AND-UNDER SOFTBALL

Sparks 21, PHP 7: Breanna Klein pitched two scoreless innings and

had five hits for the Sparks. Teammate Kelsey Crowther made three

fine defensive plays.

Claire Nolan and Julia Warden collected three hits apiece. Mary

Treinen and Caroline Treinen made several strong defensive plays for

PHP. Mary Treinen also had two hits.

Angels 13, Harris Plumbing 0: Kellsey Butler and Taylor Anderson

pitched for the Angels. Taylor Perdew and Savannah Rhoads led the

Angels’ defense.

Christina Mata and Kelly Herrera were tough at the plate for the

Angels.

Sparks 8, Mobile Storage 2: Breanna Klein was the player of the

game for the Sparks, pitching three scoreless innings with seven

strikeouts. Elyse Borst pitched an excellent two innings.

Mackenzie Hunt had a bases-loaded double that sealed the win.

Kiwanis 6, Mobile Storage 3: Kelly Walsh and Katherine Stockly

combined to throw a two-hitter, striking out 10 in the process. Katie

Alegria led the hitting with two runs batted in.

Stockly had a triple and Ruthie Torres contributed a single in the

win. Stockly and Michelle Van Wyk combined to score five of their

team’s six runs.

Kiwanis 16, Angels 7: Kiwanis won its fourth straight game. Ruthie

Torres led the offense attack with four hits. She also scored three

runs.

Kelly Walsh pitched another spectacular game, tossing three

scoreless innings. Katherine Stockly tripled and singled. Cristina

Hahnlein and Subi D’aguira each had a double.

8-AND-UNDER SOFTBALL

Dilbeck Dirt Dogs 8, High Temp Golden Gladiators 6: Sierra Rhoads

had a grand slam for High Temp. Dilbeck’s Molly Burke received the

game ball for her phenomenal play at shortstop. Rebecca Periera,

Ashley Lund and Marleina Taix all pitched.

Jerez Mortgage Black Belts 3, Montrose Travel Red Hot Flaming

Rockets 0: Marcela Carbajal’s home run and Melissa Minter’s triple

contributed to the Black Belts’ three runs. Rachelle Cruz and Grace

Taylor also had nice hits.

Whitney Craig was the player of the game for the Rockets, pitching

two innings. She also had a double.

Dilbeck Dirt Dogs 6, High Temp Golden Gladiators 4: Kelly Habib

struck out three batters in one inning for High Temp. Amanda Martinez

also had two hits.

PINTO BASEBALL

Sardos 7, Solis Law 3: Jake Standley and Joseph Inda provided

excellent pitching for Sardos. David Lamb and Mark Verso each had a

home run in the second inning. Patrick Galoostian added a single.

Joseph Inda, William Odell, Tristan Pereira and Gabriel Shefland

all had hits in the four-run third inning.

Guarantee Pest Control 3, Sardos 0: Awesome pitching and fielding

by Johnny Psaltis and Chris Parker of Guarantee Pest Control held

Sardos scoreless. Sardos did load the bases on hits by Jake Standley,

Conner Camphouse and Patrick Galoostian, who celebrated his birthday.

A relay from Mark Verso to David Lamb at the plate robbed Psaltis

of a home run in the third inning.

Beatrice Harendza Real Estate Broker 1, Guarantee Pest Control 1:

Beatrice Harendza remained the only unbeaten team in the league. Both

teams received outstanding pitching performances.

Matt Jones, Vincent De Pinto and Bryan Wang all did a great job on

the mound for Beatrice Harendza. Johnny Psaltis, Chris Parker and

Luke Rawlings did the same for Guarantee Pest Control.

MUSTANG BASEBALL

Mustang Baseball Tournament team 10, Pacific Palisades 0: Behind

the strong pitching of Mark Sereno, the Crescenta Sports Assn.

Mustang Baseball Tournament team defeated Pacific Palisades in the

opening round of the Rosemead Youth Assn. Memorial Day Tournament.

Sereno struck out four and allowed one hit in three innings. Mikey

Polchow struck out one and didn’t allow a hit. The game was called in

the fourth inning because of the 10-run mercy rule.

William Oh had a three-run home run, and Paul Perugini, Christian

Misi and Andrew Fagundo each had a triple.

Bonner’s Equipment Rentals 11, Burger King 7: Bonner’s Equipment

scored six runs in the final inning to record the win. Ben Thomason

hit a home run, William Oh had a triple and Michael Yamarone knocked

in the winning run.

Christian Misi had three hits for Burger King. Sean Rothrock had a

nice hit and Tony Martinez recorded an unassisted double play.

Bonner’s Equipment Rentals 13, Junior Trojans 12: William Oh led

Bonner’s Equipment with two home runs. Kyle Kloza scored three runs,

and Alexander Berry and Tony Martinez each scored twice.

Cameron Silva, Kevin Ernst and Grant Walker each scored twice for

the Trojans.

FNIS 4, Anawalt Lumber 0: Justin Cho led FNIS with three hits, one

of which was a home run. He also had six runs batted in. Matt Isler

pitched the first two innings, allowing only one hit and no runs.

Royce Park pitched the last inning, striking out two.

Parker Fernandez and Nicholas Jo singled for Anawalt Lumber.

BRONCO BASEBALL

Landry’s Sporting Goods 9, MJB Flooring 2: Landry’s prevailed

behind the strong pitching of Gabriel Huerta and Billy Paulson. Jason

Ochart, Kurt Baker and Paulson each had multiple hits.

Andy Potter, Will Thayer and Hunter Jankowski each had hits for

MJB Flooring.

PIXIE SOFTBALL (no score kept)

Hennon Surveying & Mapping Surveyors vs. Prometheus Blueberries:

The Blueberries saw excellent fielding from Amber Park and Kylie

Brakeman. Lauren Fiero was did a good job hitting.

Tracey Andrews and Hailey Miller made the game exciting.

Wynn’s Blue Bombers vs. You Go Girls: The You Go Girls played

their best defensive game of the season, as they were led by Kaitlin

Powers, who made a spectacular play on a line drive. Breanna Gay and

Sarah Borland also had outstanding games defensively.

The offense was led by Sammi Campbell, who had two hits and scored

three runs. Maddie McCollum, Nev James and Daisy Beckner hit for the

Blue Bombers. Emily Develle and Colleen Pernecky had some great plays

in the infield.

Caroline Bender held them at home plate.

You Go Girls vs. Behr Construction Pixie Chicks: The You Go Girls

played their best game of the year. The offense was led by Sarah

Hughes and Madison Johnson, who collected three hits apiece. Courtney

Ramage-Wagner scored three runs.

The defense was led by Breanna Gay and Kaitlin Powers.

Prometheus Blueberries vs. Wynn’s Blue Bombers: The Blueberries

saw excellent defensive plays from Kylie Brakeman and Haley Hiller,

who got two outs at first base. Danielle Barry had two great hits.

Taylor Afshar, Olivia Lam and Amber Park were also great hitters.

Bright & Brown Bright Blues vs. Hennon Surveying & Mapping

Surveyors: Lindsey Kellher made several strong plays at first base,

and Annette Persson and Michelle Grochow continued to show their

powerful skills at the plate.

Kelly O’Leary and Gillian Searer flew around the bases, and

Charlotte Leis and Olivia Champ led the team in several clever

cheers.

El Cholo Red Hot Chili Peppers 9, Countrywide Cubs 2: Katie

Campbell, Natalie Markowitz, Gaby Fitzpatrick and Grace Fraser played

well for El Cholo.

Orchid Park Purple Pirates 4, Countrywide Cubs 1: Angela Fuhrman

had a big triple in the second inning. Kelly Stewart and Tess Stenzel

each had a double and single. Kendall Walbrecht also had a single.

Jenna Galper, Stewart and Stenzel were great on defense. Colleen

Degnan, Amy Young and Gaby Fitzpatrick had hits for the Cubs.

Sports Medicine Team USA 9, Juice It Ups 8: Megan Cornwall did an

outstanding job on the mound, striking out four. The offense was led

by Samantha Bolstad, Madison Teodo, Greta Gibbons and Kelsey Drange.

McDonalds Yellow Jackets 5, Trumark Real Estate Blue GatorSharks

4: Stephanie Bathke’s home run won it for the Jackets. Emily Valencia

added a triple and a single.

Monica Pernecky, Courtney Chen, Kendall Millard, Jordan Pearse and

Brette O’Brien all had singles.

Gillespie Insurance Cherry Bombs 8, El Cholo Red Hot Chili Peppers

3: Kyle Harvey, Madison White and Alex Eaton did a great job pitching

and fielding.

Lisa Gillespie and Claire Hilsen hit home runs for the Cherry

Bombs. Alison MacCarley, Linnea Frazer, Julie Jagels, Victoria Rygg

and Janna Johnson also played well.

Orchid Park Purple Pirates 11, Sports Medicine Team USA 8:

Michelle Whitaker led Team USA with a two-run double and a run

scored. Lucy Celoni and Kelly Jacobs scored two times apiece.

Juice It Ups 8, Countrywide Cubs 0: Claire Mudie caught a great

game for Juice It Ups. Kimberly Horne had a key hit to start a big

rally.

Trumark Real Estate Blue GatorSharks 9, Orchid Park Purple Pirates

0: Kelly Trueblood and Sarah Olson each hit a home run in the third

inning to lead the GatorSharks. Trumark Real Estate also received

outstanding performances from Laura Emmons, Stephanie Ferri, Cailan

Howey, Grace Korkunis, Sydney Weinberger and Rebecca Whalen.

Katie Matthews made a fine defensive play to prevent a GatorShark

home run.

McDonalds Yellow Jackets 5, El Cholo Red Hot Chili Peppers 3: The

Yellow Jackets earned their second consecutive come-from-behind

victory.

Shannon Lee enjoyed her best offensive performance of the season

with two hits. Courtney Chen added a home run.

Emily Valencia had a triple, and Monica Pernecky and Kendall

Millard each doubled.

JUNIOR SOFTBALL

Anchor Pacifica Smoothies 15, Locker Realty Green Beans 14: Alexa

Barsamian and Kristine Locker combined to record a triple play for

the Green Beans. Emily Villalpando also hit a grand slam.

Mary Young, Olivia Warner and Sidney Smith all did an outstanding

job.

Locker Realty Green Beans 21, Descanso Dermtology Purple Passion

4: Emily Villalpando and Sara Kert did a great job in the circle.

Michelle Verraveto and Carrie Blanton did an impressive job fielding.

Descanso Dermatology Purple Passion 12, Anchor Pacifica Smoothies

3: Kate Brown allowed only one run in three innings. Catherine

Weirick doubled and Becca Stoker singled for the Smoothies.

SWR Sound Pepsies 21, Muller Commercial Masonry Silver Stealers 8:

Good hitting was provided by Courtney McCutchan, Caitie James and

Gretchen Muller. Carly Grandolph, Raya Choi, Emily Selsor, Casey

Forgey, Audrey Bittner and Julia Rowe did a great job on defense.

Descanso Dermatology Purple Passion 7, SWR Sound Pepsies 6: The

Pepsies led most of the way, but lost in the final inning. Kate

Hansen and Lisa Jackson led the Pepsies’ offensive attack.

Kirstin Dahlson also contributed a key hit. Hillary Hull and Sarah

Franklin also contributed for the Pepsies.

Elizabeth Weinberger pitched three strong innings for the Pepsies.

Anchor Pacifica Smoothies 11, Locker Realty Green Beans 2:

Meredith Horner struck out eight in three innings. Mimi Spindle and

Shea Harvey each drove in a run.

Michelle Varraveto, Emily Villalpando, Olivia Warner and Carrie

Blanton each had key hits.

A Noise Within American Kryptonite 18, Descanso Dermatology Purple

Passion 14: Molly Peitzman drilled the ball to left field, pitched

two innings and was the player of the game for American Kryptonite.

Rebecca Han made some great stops in the field. Kelsey Glidewell had

three clutch hits.

Celine Anele-Rocha hit the ball hard and scored three runs. Anna

Brenner added another home run.

Anchor Pacifica Smoothies 15, Campbells Superstars 10: Sylvia

Stoker led the Smoothies with a bases-loaded triple and a home run.

Kelly Barnes singled, scored two runs and drove in a run for the

Smoothies.

Mimi Spindle extended her hitting streak to three games. Mellisa

Pittson, Kenzie Campbell and Kayla McCue had three hits apiece for

the Superstars.

SWR Sound Pepsies 9, Locker Realty Green Beans 5: Elizabeth

Weinberger and Robin Jamison had a tremendous pitching performance.

Alicia Dewell had a strong hit, Weinberger had a two-run double, and

Lisa Jackson, Kirstin Dahlson and Kate Hensen scored two times

apiece.

SENIOR SOFTBALL

Hennon Surveying & Mapping Surveyors 10, El Cholo Las Muchachas 2:

Jessica Ferri pitched five innings for the Surveyors, striking out 14

of the 24 batters she faced. Laura McQuay also had a three-run

triple.

Cushman & Wakefield Mixed Berries 16, Clerkin Architects Black

Tornados 13: Amanda Ulf, Melanie Bitner and Karleen Cordova had

multiple hits. Bonnie Wilcox, Cassie Meeker and Kathryn Christensen

played well for Clerkin.

Cushman & Wakefield Mixed Berries 6, El Cholo Las Muchachas 3:

Stephanie Anderson, Katie Hale, Rachel Tobias and Olivia Smith all

had hits in the losing cause.

El Cholo Las Muchachas 15, Cecil Saydah Tsunamis 8: Olivia Smith

had a three-run triple, and Kelly Giles, Rachel Anderson, Lydia Kay,

Katie Hale, Stephanie Anderson, Frances Wulke, Milicia Tasic and

Rachel Tobias all contributed hits.

Lucy Filippone, Emily Filippone, Emily Poole and Jessica Saydah

all played well for the Tsunamis.

Clerkin Architects Black Tornados 19, Cecil Saydah Tsunamis 5:

Lucy Filippone made two great plays at third base. Whitney Crossley

made two strong plays at second base and Tayler Crossley made an

unassisted double play.

Stephanie McNamara chipped in with two runs.

Cecil Saydah Tsunamis 17, Burlison & Luostari Rebels 10: Lauren

Gokey hit a slam to left field and Joanna Burlison showed off her

speed on the bases.

Every player reached base at least once for the Tsunamis. Emily

Poole was three for three, and Lucy Filippone, Charlotte Allan and

Kelly Streeter each contributed two hits apiece. Stephanie McNamara

added a big triple.

Hennon Surveying & Mapping Surveyors 2, Sanfilippo 0: The pitching

MAJOR BASEBALL

Dyrness Automotive 18, Sport Chalet 0: Anthony Giannelli’s grand

slam helped lift his team to the victory. Teddy Rothenberg, McKay

Haynie, Anthony Cuccinello and Greg Astor also played well.

Astor and Giannelli combined to pitch a one-hitter with 11

strikeouts. Connor McCann singled for Sport Chalet.

Dyrness Automotive 3, Glendale Realtors 1: Anthony Giannelli and

Greg Astor combined to hold Glendale to one hit. They also had 13

strikeouts. Kyle Konkel had Glendale’s only hit.

Giannelli doubled twice, and Astor and Harry Rose singled.

TRAVEL BASEBALL

Glendale Knights 18, Pacific Palisades 1: The Glendale Knights, a

14-and-under travel team, played a doubleheader in the Rosemead

Memorial Day Tournament on Sunday.

Tim Feess was awarded the win on the mound in the easy victory.

Feess struck out five and allowed three hits. Colin Sabo came in to

close the game.

Joseph DePinto went four for five with a double and three singles.

Mychael Barajas hit a triple, double and single. Micah Dunham had a

triple and Chad Nacapoy hit a triple and a single.

Andrew Sember scored three runs and had two singles. Sean Burns,

Matt Rueda and Trevor Gee all had singles.

In the second game of the doubleheader, Glendale faced the La

Crescenta Knights. Rueda struck out nine and surrendered one earned

run to record the win on the mound. Dunham struck out four in relief.

Nacapoy hit a home run and a triple. Sember had a triple and a

single. Gee (double and two singles) and DePinto (double and a

single) also played well.

Canyon Hawks 5, SFV Gorillas 5: The Hawks (10-0-1), a 12-and-under

travel team, managed six hits without four of their starters. Zeke

Torres had two of the six hits. He also drove in a run. Torres worked

four innings on the mound, allowing three runs on six hits.

Gabriel Huerta, Jason Ochart, Anthony Parks and Ryan Daniels each

had a hit to keep pace with the Gorillas.

So. Cal Blast 4, Canyon Hawks 2: The Hawks suffered their first

loss of the season. Andy Potter had a double and a single, Gabriel

Huerta had a hit and Zeke Torres scored two runs and had two hits.

INTERLEAGUE MINOR SOFTBALL

CV Roundtree 14, Tujunga Black Widows 8: Erin Ashby and Nicole

Salas combined for 10 strikeouts. Katie Rinder paced her team’s

offense with a double, single and walk.

Justine Gusman, Brianna Akahoshi, Emily Verna, Salas and Kasandra

Lineaweaver all had hits.

TEE-BALL SOFTBALL

The All Season tee-ball softball team played the Red Hots on

Saturday. The hitting and fielding was very impressive.

Claire Mencia, Taylor Hill, Kaitlyn Arriola, Hannah Cookson,

Kendal Huerkins, Megan Bosveld, Amy Smith, Hailey Cookson, Simone

Dupuy, Laura Sedano and Danielle Espinosa all played exceptionally

well.
