Local McDonald’s ‘got milk?’
GLENDALE -- McDonald’s restaurants in Glendale are part of a
promotion in which milk will be served with breakfast Happy Meals,
hamburger Happy Meals and the new Salads and More menu.
The promotion between the restaurant chain and the California Milk
Processor Board -- the creators of the “got milk?” campaign -- will
continue through September.
Customers will have the option to have milk with their meals.
The pilot promotion began in Sacramento and is being launched not
only in Glendale, but also in 562 other McDonald’s restaurants in
Southern California.
Karaoke competition coming to Galleria
GLENDALE GALLERIA -- The Zone, a shopping area that caters to
teenagers in the upper level near Nordstrom in the Glendale Galleria,
will host “Idol Zone,” a karaoke competition, from 3 to 4 p.m.
Saturday at the Galleria, 2148 Glendale Galleria.
Teens are invited to participate. Four finalists will be invited
for a chance to become the next “Glendale Galleria Idol.”

Y to hold fund-raising clothing sale
NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- The YWCA of Glendale will host a “Friends of
Friends Apparel Fund-raiser” to help raise money to for the
organization’s Domestic Violence Project and breast and cervical
cancer screening programs.
The apparel sale is part of a partnership with R & S Enterprises,
a company that purchases new women’s designer overstocks of clothing
from Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and other retailers.
The sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Y, 735 E.
Lexington Drive.
