Suspect at large after armed robbery at clothing store

A man suspected of robbing a local export-import retail clothing
store at gunpoint was being sought by police Monday.
A man entered Irina’s Export-Import at 458 S. Central Ave. on
Thursday holding a brown paper bag and asking if the store carried
expensive sunglasses, according to police reports. The man then
pointed a silver gun at the clerk, demanding money and expensive
merchandise. The man shot twice in the direction of the clerk, but
missed both times.
The man was described as a 5-foot-7 Russian-Armenian who is about
25, weighing about 200 pounds with a light complexion. The man was
wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and beige or brown shoes, police
said, and he only spoke Armenian to the store clerk.
The man left the store with $1,000 in cash, police said. Anyone
