Nicholas Farr, the son of Douglas and Naomi Farr of La Crescenta, is
attending UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. He
graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in June from
Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. It took only three years
for him to graduate from college because he entered Northwestern as a
second quarter sophomore due to credits for multiple Advanced
Placement courses taken at La Canada High School, from which he
graduated in 2000.
David K. Yi of La Crescenta was named a College Scholar for
academic excellence at Middlebury College. A College Scholar
represents the highest level of academic achievement at the liberal
arts institution in Vermont.
Lauren K. Guza of La Canada Flintridge, was named a College
Scholar for academic excellence at Middlebury College. A College
Scholar represents the highest level of academic achievement at the
liberal arts institution in Vermont.
Andrew S. Weightman of La Canada Flintridge, was named a College
Scholar for academic excellence at Middlebury College. A College
Scholar represents the highest level of academic achievement at the
liberal arts institution in Vermont.
Danielle Ann Pershing, the daughter of James and Carol Pershing of
Burbank, was awarded a degree of doctor of veterinary medicine from
St. George’s University in New York City. It was the veterinary
school’s charter class.
She will be working as an associate veterinarian in a small animal
practice in New York with an interest in surgery.
Christopher J. Alegria of La Canada Flintridge, has been accepted
to the Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga. He will
train to become a professional automotive technician.
Matthew S. Dalton of Burbank has been accepted to the Universal
Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga. He will train to become a
professional automotive technician.
Ernie Collado of Glendale has been accepted to the Universal
Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga. He will train to become a
professional automotive technician.
