Alleged robbers to be arraigned
Three men are scheduled to be arraigned on charges of robbery today
after threatening a car dealer porter and taking the bank envelope he
was about to deposit.
Byron Enrique Chinchilla, 26, and Rudy Lopez, 23, of Los Angeles
and Ronald A. Campos, 22, of Van Nuys, were arrested Monday by
Glendale Police officers who followed them into Los Angeles.
The three men allegedly drove their SUV between the entrance of
the Bank of the West branch at 400 N. Glendale Ave. and the
dealership’s porter just before 5 p.m., as he was about to make a
deposit of about $35,000.
Chinchilla and Lopez were being held Tuesday for $50,000 bail and
Campos was being held for $76,000 bail because of outstanding
warrants for his arrest, Glendale Police spokeswoman Officer Leticia
Chang said.
