USA Patriot Act forum to take place at St. Bede Parish Center on

Feb. 11

The Southern California Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union

will present a forum examining the legal and moral implications of

the USA Patriot Act at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at the St. Bede Parish Center.

Allan Ides, a constitutional law professor at Loyola Law School,

will review the history and status of American civil rights and

homeland security from colonial times to the present. A question and

answer session will be moderated by La Canada Flintridge City

Councilman Anthony Portantino.

The St. Bede Parish Center is at 215 Foothill Blvd. The event is
