COLLEGE GOLF CLASSIC AND DINNER IS TODAY
The 22nd annual Glendale College Foundation and Union Bank of
California Golf Classic is today at Oakmont Country Club, 3100
Country Club Drive in Glendale.
Golfers tee off at 10 a.m. for the event, which is the largest
annual fundraiser for Glendale Community College. The golf tournament
is sold out.
A margarita bar will open at 3:30 p.m., and dinner will be at 5:30
p.m. A live auction will start at 7 p.m. in the dining room at the
country club. Tickets are still available for the dinner and live
auction. Tickets are $65 per person.

‘HAKUNA MATATA’ WITH ‘LION KING’ CREATORS
Feel the love today with the story artists, animators and
directors of “The Lion King,” during a 10th anniversary screening of
the blockbuster animated film. The film will be shown at 7 p.m. at
the Glendale Central Library, 222 E. Harvard St. The event is hosted
by the International Animated Film Assn.-Hollywood. Admission is $5
for association members, $10 for nonmembers, and free for those who

LO DUCA TO MAKE
PLAY AT MACY’S
Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Paul Lo Duca, who has one of the best
batting averages in the National League, will sign autographs at noon
Friday in the men’s Dockers department at Macy’s in the Glendale
Galleria. Lo Duca is appearing on behalf of the Dockers menswear
line and to celebrate the Dodgers’ fan appreciation day, which is
Sunday at Dodger Stadium. He has played with the Dodgers since 1998.
