Gordon Moffat

1924-2004

Former longtime La Crescentan Gordon Howard Moffat died June 7 in North Hollywood. He was 79 years old.

Gordon was born August 12, 1924, in Los Angeles and called La Crescenta home for most of his adult life. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1954.

An orthodontist, he practiced his profession for 40 years.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, at the chapel of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 4550 Raymond Ave. in La Crescenta.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moffat, of Tujunga; sons Jeffrey C. Moffat of La Crescenta and Clark G. Moffat of Fallbrook; and daughters Betsy Woodall of Rancho Santa Margarita and Kathleen M. Tobler of Rancho Santa Margarita.

He also leaves 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
